"I Can't Thank You Enough"

An Open Letter of Gratitude to the Universe

Dear Universe –

I write to you with a humble heart that is grateful for all that you have given to me mind, body, and spirit. If a sense of connection is what I seek, I can connect to nothing greater. If feeling blessed is what I seek, I know that you are the source of all that will be used for my highest good. If feeling loved will heal me, I know that getting quiet and being in the presence of your greatness will fill my heart with a surrounding sense of awe that cannot be expressed in words.

As I put my pen to paper, I realize that my gratitude is beyond measure to you for…

Community – Knowing that I belong matters to me but the feeling that I belong is precious. As a sentient being, I have worth and the communities I have chosen as mine validate this.

Freedom – Watching immigrants as they come across our borders makes me realize how lucky I am to have been born in a country where I can think independently, speak my heart’s truth, and associate with people and groups that challenge me to love more deeply and continue to grow in spirit. I have what others so desperately seek. May I never take this for granted.

My sense of curiosity - I appreciate the curiosity I feel about the world and about others even when we may have different perspectives on life. May I always be willing to learn and grow from each person I meet and each experience I am blessed to have.

Service workers – To all the trash collectors, customer service reps, retail workers, flaggers on road crews, and other unsung heroes who make the world go round. My life is easier, safer, and cleaner because of you.

My healthcare team – Please know how much I appreciate you watching over me. And to all the dentists, doctors, pharmacists, nutritionists, physical therapists, massage therapists, yoga teachers, and the other amazing providers out there – thank you.

My friends and family – I love that while you do not always understand me, you accept and support me on my journey. I pray that you feel my love, acceptance, and support in return.

Knowing when I need to take a break – My self-imposed moments of silence ground me throughout the day and get me back to center where I can always…begin again.

The hot cup of tea I drink each morning – It signals to my body that it is time to begin a brand-new day, one that is filled with opportunity, surprises, miracles, and blessings.

My students and clients - Each of you are forever in my heart. You teach me so much.

I am truly grateful, dear Universe, and I am humbled by the power that surrounds me and to that power, I surrender my grateful heart in this moment of grace.

One Last Thing Before I Go…

Have a bountiful Thanksgiving Holiday!

Namaste-
